About This Test
C-reactive protein (CRP) rises in your blood when there's inflammation in your body. The high-sensitivity version of this test, hsCRP, can detect much smaller changes in CRP than a standard test, making it useful for assessing chronic, low-level inflammation linked to cardiovascular risk.
